Pepsi Light from a Brazilian

Today I was out at the Cowboy shoot in Sparta at the Shooting Complex vending with my dad. For those of you who are unfamiliar with what I'm talking about, I will explain things a little so you understand. The people that shoot out there, similar to the Grand American, are from all over the world. There was a guy there today who said to me, "I don't speak English well, so I need help." I was like "Okay." The man ordered his food, then said, ""I need a Pepsi, light" I didn't quite understand what he was implying, so I attempted to repeat what he said to me, and was corrected several times. Eventually I figured out that he wanted a "light" Pepsi, a.k.a. a Diet Pepsi. The way he said light, though, was not how I am spelling it, he said it with an accent. He told me that he was from Brazil, and I tried to figure out what he was saying, but I didn't catch it all. Standing there listening to him and trying to get what he was saying reminded me of that part off of I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry where they are talking to the preacher in the chapel. Though, not as funny of circumstances, this is almost how the whole thing happened.
